Easy Pork Chops (oven or crockpot)

serves 4
1.5 hours in 350 degree oven, 6 to 8 hours in crockpot on low

1/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup water (1/4 cup if using the crockpot)
1 tsp. Olive Oil
1 lemon, washed well and thinly sliced
4 pork chops, big enough to feed the appetites in your house

The REALLY easy method: mix the first four ingredients in a bowl. Put the pork chops in a roaster or in the crockpot (spray first with cooking spray – makes for much easier cleanup), pour sauce over top, lay lemon slices over the pork chops, bake/cook until done. That would be about 1 1/2 hours in the oven at 350 degrees, or 6 to 8 hours on low in the crockpot.

NOTE: The sauce is thin. It's still yummy over rice or noodles or potatoes. However, if thin sauce is not your thing, feel free to thicken it with a slurry of cornstarch and water.

Slightly more work method: Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Brown in very hot oil to sear, then continue on as per the really easy pork chop method, cutting down the cooking time by about 30 minutes for the oven, and about 1 hour for the crockpot/slowcooker.
