March 31 Real Grocery Bill:

It was a bit of a stock up trip too. Cheez Whiz was on sale for half price at one store in town, so I had to get a few jars of that.

Cheez Whiz – 3 jars x $2.77
Bologna (lunches, pre-packaged and not from the deli counter) – $3.79 / 500gr
Carrots and celery from the lazy counter – $2.33
12 pack Dr Pepper – $4.99
Apple Juice – $1.89 (see – hungry and thirsty – this is premium apple juice here)
Calabrese buns from the bakery – 6 for $1.69
PC wheat Tortillas – $2.49
Mr. Noodle in a cup – $0.69

Man, that is so depressing when I write it all down, and it looks so little!

April 4, 2009 – the kid trip

The Necessities:
Milk, 4 litres – $3.97

The Extras (kid induced):
Yop x3 – $0.97 each, total $2.91
McCain Frozen Pizza – $2.99 (Okay, so I didn't complain too much over this one – easy lunch!)
Ice cream, mint chip in case you're wondering – at least it was on sale – $1.88
Dill Pickle potato chips – $1.27
Plain tortilla chips – $2.96
Tortilla wraps (wow, we eat a lot of these) – $1.99

Okay – the good news is, I see the 50 cent difference in prices for the same product at two different stores! I guess I'll pay more attention to how much my tortillas cost, since apparently they're a staple in my house. Yes, I know – where's my price book? Where's my pantry stocker list? I guess I'll have to pay more attention to prices and quantities now!
