What are my qualifications for running a cooking website? Probably none. I am a library clerk who reads cookbooks like they are novels. I love all cookbooks, even the gourmet cooking kind. Sadly, not much of this reading ever translates into actual ability. A lot of my cooking techniques (and recipes) I stole from my ex-husband – he really is a chef, has the papers to prove it. He never reads this blog anyway, so he won't notice me handing out his 'trade secrets' and 'family traditions' to whoever I come across. It is a passive-aggressive revenge, I admit it, but I get a kick out of it.

This is going to be a site to help answer the question of "What's for supper". I can share with you my love of recipes, the history of my cooking disasters and successes, and discuss some common cooking questions. My mother's French-Canadian heritage and her French recipes will be here, side by each. My own frugalness will probably be here too, since it's pretty hard to get away from, along with my dislike of over processed 'Franken-foods'.

Happy reading and good cooking! Any questions, problems, dilemmas – major moral quandaries – well, that's not the place for that. But if you do have feedback, please feel free to leave a comment or give me an email.  If you were previously related to me, I don't really intend to answer, but thanks for the kind thoughts.
